Aberdeen University

Concert Band

Welcome!

We are the Aberdeen University Concert Band. Founded in 1987, we are a university society run under Aberdeen University Student Association and we work closely with the University of Aberdeen Music Department.

The concert band is a non-auditioned community ensemble, open to students and staff of the university, as well as anyone around and out-with the university community. The band always play a wide variety of music, from film scores to band classics and anything in between! There's something for every taste and performing ability! All we ask is that you play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument!

We rehearse on a Tuesday from 6pm-8pm and our rehearsal venue is King's Pavilion on the University of Aberdeen campus.

For 2023/24, we are to be conducted by Sam Paul, former President of the Band and French Horn player. A prominent figure in musical circles in the North East, we are thrilled to have him on board.

Sign up to the mailing list for 2023/24 in order to be kept up to date with all the important information and communications this year.
